We recently brought our Let Nature In message to Asaya at Rosewood Hong Kong, reuniting as Home Rituals with our friends SoL and At Liberty Studio for a multi-sensory reimagining of personal sanctuaries and rituals. Under the umbrella Dream, we developed packages for guests of Asaya Lodge, along with an exciting new retail experience and a complete transformation of the Rosewood Glasshouse into an apartment, with an immersive exploration of sleep practices and nocturnal wellness.
Dream-cation
For the duration of Dream, guests at Asaya Lodge were treated to special touches designed to calm body and mind for a better night’s sleep. Bedding, of course, came courtesy of Baea, while SoL provided the super-soft loungewear and At Liberty the soothing Lumira aromatherapy.
Ritual, as you might expect, is core to the Home Rituals philosophy, so we developed practices for that important time of the day when we unwind and prepare for sleep. These included singing bowl therapy with Asaya’s Resident Practitioner Kit Shum and an in-room ‘Time for a Dream’ full-body scrub and massage.
Dream Lifestyle
At Asaya Gallery, the hotel’s retail space, we created Dream Lifestyle, a place for guests and visitors to explore a wider range of products from the Home Rituals collective. To mark the occasion, Baea introduced Asaya Rocks, an exclusive variation on our Rocks bedding range, using gold embroidery thread for that extra touch of glamour.
Also to be enjoyed were SoL’s collection of contemporary French linen robes and products from luxury fragrance house, Lumira, showcased by At Liberty Studio. Items from other collaborators included furniture by De La Espada.
Dream Apartment
We love enlivening all the senses through our Home Rituals installations, and the opportunity to transform Asaya’s Glasshouse space into the Dream Apartment opened up a world of possibility. Beautiful design set against stunning views to please the eyes, olfactory delights from Limira, textiles and garments for tactile pleasure and sound meditations — part of our programme of events — completed the multi-sensory experience.
Also on offer was an evening hosted by Home Rituals and Design Anthology discussing ways in which we might find inspiration at home. Panelists included renowned Hong Kong architect and interior designer, Nelson Chow, interior designer JJ Acuna of Bespoke Studio, and Thierry Chow, one of Hong Kong's most respected Feng Shui masters.
Another highlight was My Home Rituals, a chance to share in the knowledge and experience of Kaye Dong, founder of The New Moon — an innovative wellness, style, beauty and self-care platform. Throughout the course of the evening we learnt about her own personal home rituals and how she prioritises self-care and mindfulness. Not always an easy thing to achieve in bustling Hong Kong!
